In late October 2016, it's been pointed out, that the "irmxstuff.com" Web site is no longer available. Here's a run down of the iRMX links it referenced, and some of the iRMX resources they pointed to. - last updated Oct 27 2016, with links checked Sept 15 2021. Herb Johnson
Here's a link to a Web Archive backup. As of 2016 there's something at this geocities Web page but mostly a shell. The site seemed to have been inactive since the early 2000's. and: in 2021 Norton sees a "malicious domain request attack" when accessing the page.
Links from the irmxstuff.com "links" page, then and now.
ristancase.ch seems still active in 2021 at this domain home page. Look for the tools "Development Assistant for C" and "Development Assistant for PL/M".
locsoft.com in 2016 was an active Web site and was referenced by irmxstuff for:
https://www.locsoft.com/ but now appears with a "contact us" page only.
Samba for iRMX® [this links forward to marideus.com, doesn't respond in 2021. What it had at the time was:
ISO 9660 (CD-ROM) file driver for iRMX
Native iRMX IDE driver for Hard Disks and CD-ROM drives
dBase compatible iRMX library for database applications
for Locsoft 2016, there's no references on-site for "irmx". For intel, there was in 2016 an "about" Web page: "The LocSoft Partnership traces its roots back to 1998 when a group of engineers left Intel Corporation to start a business to provide solutions in the real-time and Multibus board spaces that Intel had taken the strategic decision to vacate." Now modern embedded solutions.
for marideus 2016: "Marideus Limited is a manufacturer of marine and industrial solutions and a provider of product design and manufacturing services in the embedded electronics market.
for mnc.co.jp there's the Web archive of mnc.co.jp which is Micronet (Japan) for netRMX.
In 2016 micronet said. "RTOS ( RealTime Operating System ) for the industrial system. Micronet is the master disrtributer of tenAsys in USA. tenAsys products such as INtime, iRMX for Windows for Japanese market." In 2021 it discusses a "RT-Motion Controller" and other PC-based controls for industrial devices. They appear to be frozen to 2016.
Newsgroups, User Groups, ...
yahoo irmxstuff, the yahoo group still existed in 2016 as the iRMX Stuff Yahoo Group, only several messages a YEAR. Yahoo groups ended some years later.
"The Unofficial iRMX Users Database" was "http://us.geocities.yahoo.com/gb/view?member=irmxstuff" in 2016.
IRUG or International Real Time Users Group (Europe) former link "http://www.irug.com/"
irug.com 2016: not accessable 10/27/2016 irug.com had a "robots.txt" page which prohibits archiving by Wayback. A domain "irug.com" that had some content is no longer available in 2021. Other irug domains are not relevant to iRMX.
OTher Web searches for irug reveal:
(year 1998) iRUG. Proceedings of the Intel Real-Time User's Group. Annual, back copies
available from iRUG, P.O. Box 91130, Portland, OR 97291, (800) 255-4784.
comp.realtime newsgroup (Google Groups) exists in 2021. Search comp.realtime newsgroup for iRMX or INtime, but a Sept 2021 search for irmx yielded mostly hits for the FAQ and year 2006 or earlier.
Schoneman, Inc/Firmware Associates (CommDrivers) was referenced pre 2016 at "http://www.schoneman.com/irmx.htm"
in 2016 and 2021 this seems to refer to vistatrac.com
2016: "Schoneman, Inc.: Founded in 1987, Schoneman, Inc. is the creator of the popular VistaTrac traceability system. VistaTrac is known for easy to use plant floor solutions that utilize iPads, GTIN barcode labeling and scanning. " 2021: "VistaTrac was created by Schoneman, Inc. in 1991. With more than 500 current users, VistaTrac is used by small, family-owned companies and large, enterprise-level food processors across the United States, Canada, Central America, and Europe."
